Évidement, tous les appareils permettant de garder un souvenir de la soirée étaient formellement interdit. La securité était très strict et omniprésente.

Paul n'a chanté qu'une chanson, pas d'instrument, juste un micro et un "Bing Band" derrière lui.

Quand Paul était petit, sa famille se rassembler autour du piano de Jim (son père) pour interpreter des chansons de Frank Loesser.

Voilà pourquoi Paul McCartney était là ce soir, ce mec a bercer son enfance, des souvenirs familiaux en pagaille...

D'après les premiers témoignages, Paul était très en voix et a même effectué quelques pas de danse... Meme si il paraissait à poil sans instrument, comme à son habitude.

Monday 26th October - Paul performed 'On A Slow Boat To China' at the tribute to composer Frank Loeser, which was held to benefit The Actors Fund.

"This was the first time I had ever done anything like this and I was a little nervous. In fact, this was my Broadway debut so I'm not surprised".

The audience of Broadway's Minksoff Theatre had come to see a special gala called 'Chance And Celebration' in a centennial celebration of Frank Loesser and Paul was accompanied by a small orchestra as he performed the song.

"Normally I've got a guitar or a piano to help me out but this time all I had was a hand mic but I had a great time all the same. The event raised more money than had been expected and will benefit members of the acting profession who have fallen on hard times".

"It was something completely different for me but I knew the song from family sing-songs when I was a kid and I admire Frank Loesser's writing and, in the end, it was a blast."
