BEACH BOYS EYING LONDON AND LOS ANGELES FOR REUNION SHOWS

Mike Love says that he wants the original surviving Beach Boys to reunite for two shows in Los Angeles and London -- with the help of some very famous friends.
Love and long time member Bruce Johnston outlined their plans for a televised reunion with co-founders Brian Wilson, David Marks and Al Jardine: (Mike Love) "What I think is the right way to go about things, is to do a PBS special at the Hollywood Bowl with some guests and maybe one at Wembley Stadium (in London) with a couple of guests like Paul McCartney -- if he likes Pet Sounds so much and if he likes "God Only Knows" so well -- then have him sing it with us at Wembley stadium, along with Elton John singing something, so on and so forth. Maybe Eric Clapton will come out and do it for charity, do it for a really good cause and then the same thing at the Hollywood Bowl and that would be really cool." (Bruce Johnston)"That would be the great reunion."
So far no dates have been announced for any Beach Boys "reunion" dates.
The Beach Boys -- featuring Mike Love and Bruce Johnston -- will appear live on ABC-TV's Good Morning America today (Friday, July 7th). Check your local listings for stations and times. After the show, the group will fly directly to Hawaii to make Saturday's concert in Honolulu at the Waikiki Shell.
The group will kick off another series of mainland shows on July 18th and 19th in San Diego at Humphrey's By The Bay.
Earlier this month, Love and Johnston reunited with Wilson, Marks and Jardine on top of the Capitol Records building in Los Angeles to collect their double platinum awards for their greatest hits compilation Sounds Of Summer: The Very Best Of The Beach Boys.
Both McCartney and Elton John have a long history with the Beach Boys. McCartney has often cited the group's seminal 1966 Pet Sounds album as the inspiration for the Beatles'1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
John's 1974 hit "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" featured Johnson and group co-founders the late Dennis and Carl Wilson on backing vocals. Elton John has shared the bill with the Beach Boys on numerous occasions; most notably when they opened for him at his landmark 1975 concert at Wembley Stadium when he premiered his Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy album. In 1988, John inducted the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
McCartney, John, and Clapton all appeared on Brian Wilson's 2004 solo album, titled Gettin' In Over My Head.
Premièrement, arriveront ils a se mettre tous d'accord pour une réunion scènique
Pensez vous que Paul serait interessé
